Opening and Orientation: Mrs. Amra Javed delivered the welcome address, followed by a formal introduction to the “Empowering Youth for Engaged Citizenship” project. An orientation session was held to explain the expectations for the Democracy Lab and the upcoming Hackathon.
Expert Insights: Dr. Manzoor Hussain Memon, Head of Research at Manzil Pakistan, provided expert perspectives during a guest speaker session.
Grassroots Engagement: A major highlight was the “Conversation with Union Committee Chairpersons,” where students engaged with local leaders from various sectors of Karachi, including representatives from Frere Town (Clifton), PECHS, Safoora Town, and Gulberg Town.
Team Building: The day concluded with a reflection session and the formal formation of student groups.
